Information on data protection according to §§ 17 and 25 DSG-EKD for the website of the Interkulturelle Kirchengemeinde An Nahe und Glan

1. General

We, the name of the institution, take the protection of your personal data and the legal obligations serving this protection very seriously. The legal requirements demand comprehensive transparency about the processing of personal data. Only if the processing is comprehensible for you as the concerned person, you would be adequately informed about the meaning, purpose and scope of the processing. 2. Definitions

2.1 From the DSG-EKD

This data protection declaration uses the terms of the legal text of the DSG-EKD . The definitions (§. 4 DSG-EKD) can be found, for example, at https://www.kirchenrecht-ekd.de/document/39740.

2.2 Cookies

Cookies are text files that are stored or read by a website on your end device. This also only happens if a prescribed storage period expires, unless there is a necessity for the continued storage of the personal data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

Unless we are required by law to store personal data for a longer period of time or to disclose it to third parties (in particular to the law enforcement agencies), the decision as to which personal data is collected by us, how long it is stored and to what extent you may be required to disclose it depends on which functions of the website you use in each individual case.

4. data processing in connection with the use of the website

The use of the website and its functions regularly requires the processing of certain personal data.

4.1 Informational use of the website

When you access our website and use it purely for information purposes, i.e. without using additional functions such as contact forms or social media plugins, personal data is automatically collected by us. The processing of this personal data is carried out for the purposes of the functionality and optimisation of the website, as well as to ensure the security of our information technology systems. This serves the fulfilment of our tasks and at the same time represents an ecclesiastical interest, which is why the processing is permissible according to § 6 number 3 and 4 DSG-EKD.

The personal data is stored for a period of 60 days. We do not combine this personal data with other data sources. Data is only passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the operation of our website. A transfer to a third country or to an international organisation is not intended.

4.2. Facebook

When you visit our website, a plugin that integrates a so-called „Like“ or „Share“ button is loaded for the purpose of personalisation and to enable you to network more easily. This button is provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland („Facebook“). 4.3. Twitter

When you visit our website, a plugin is loaded for more personalisation and to enable you to network more easily, which embeds a so-called „share“ button. This button can be recognised by terms such as „Twitter“ associated with a stylised bird. This button is provided by Twitter International Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, D02 AX07, Ireland („Twitter“). When you invoke our website, your browser loads the necessary code from Twitter. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Twitter’s servers. In this way, Twitter learns that our website has been accessed via your IP address. At the same time, Twitter may place cookies on your terminal device, unless you have prohibited the use or reading of cookies in your browser.

The use of the Twitter plugin is for the purpose of making our website more personal and allows you to quickly view or comment on individual parts of our website on your account on Twitter. This constitutes an ecclesiastical interest within the scope of § 6 number 4 DSG-EKD.

4.4. YouTube

Parts of our website use the services of YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA („YouTube“) to display video content. When you call up the corresponding pages, your browser loads the code from YouTube required to display the video. For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to YouTube’s servers. In this way, YouTube learns that our website has been accessed via your IP address. At the same time, YouTube may place cookies on your end device, unless you have prohibited the use or reading of cookies in your browser.

YouTube plugins are used for the purpose of an emotive design of our website and to enable the presentation of video content. This represents an ecclesiastical interest within the scope of § 6 number 4 DSG-EKD. The data transfer to the USA takes place in accordance with the EU Commission’s Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 (EU-US Privacy Shield).

Your IP address is collected by us to enable transmission to YouTube. You are not obliged to provide this personal data, but it is not possible to use the relevant parts of our website without providing it.

If you do not want YouTube to assign the personal data collected via our website to your YouTube account, you must log out of YouTube before visiting our website. YouTube’s privacy policy can be found as part of Google’s privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

4.5. Matomo

When you visit our website, a plugin called Matomo is loaded for statistical analysis of the use of the website. Matomo is a plugin that is operated on our server. Matomo uses cookies that are stored on your terminal device, unless you have prohibited the use of cookies in your browser, and which enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The Matomo plugin is used for the purposes of economic optimisation and the needs-based design of our website. This represents an ecclesiastical interest within the scope of § 6 number 4 DSG-EKD.

Your IP address is anonymised immediately after it is collected by us by replacing parts of the IP address with filler characters („x“) during storage (so-called IP masking). After this, it is no longer possible to assign the IP address to you. No data is transmitted to third parties. You are not obliged to provide this personal data; it is possible to use our website without providing it. If you remove the following tick, Matomo will also no longer record your usage behaviour on our website.

4.7 Contact by e-mail

When you send us an e-mail, the personal data you provide there will be processed by us. This information is transmitted by your e-mail client and stored in our information technology systems. The processing of this personal data is necessary to answer your request. In addition, your IP address and the date and time of the contact are stored.

The data processing serves to answer your enquiry and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. This processing is lawful according to § 6 number 3 and 4 DSG-EKD, because answering your request serves the fulfilment of our tasks and at the same time represents an ecclesiastical interest.

The personal data will be stored for as long as it is necessary to answer your enquiry. Should your enquiry lead to the conclusion of a contract at a later date, it will be stored for as long as it is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures or for the fulfilment of the contract. We do not combine this personal data with other data sources. There is no transfer of data to third parties. A transfer to a third country or to an international organisation is not intended. You are not obliged to provide this personal data, but it is not possible to use the contact form or send an e-mail without providing it.

5. Rights of concerned

As the person concerned, you have the right to information according to Section 19 DSG-EKD, the right to correction according to Section 20 DSG-EKD, the right to deletion according to Section 21 DSG-EKD, the right to restriction of processing according to Section 22 DSG-EKD and the right to data portability according to Section 24 DSG-EKD. In addition, there is a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority (Section 46 DSG-EKD in conjunction with Section 39 DSG-EKD).

6. Automated decisions in individual cases including profiling

Automated decisions in individual cases, including profiling, do not take place.

7. Obligations of notification of the responsible person

In accordance with Section 23 DSG-EKD, we will notify all recipients to whom your personal data has been disclosed, of any correction or deletion of their personal data or restriction of processing in accordance with Sections 20-22 DSG-EKD, unless such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.

We will inform you of the recipients if you insist.

8. right of objection

In accordance with Section 25 DSG-EKD, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data relating to you on the basis of Section 6 (1), (3), (4) or (8) for reasons arising from your specific situation. If personal data are processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing. 9. Right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Section 11 (3) DSG-EKD. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent is not affected by this until the revocation. Thus, the revocation always applies only to the processing planned after the revocation. The revocation is possible informally. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless another (legal) basis permits this. However, if a revocation is made and there is no other permissible circumstance, the personal data must be deleted immediately at your request in accordance with §21 para. 1 no. 3 DSG-EKD.
